Using the Shopping Cart

When you see an item you want to purchase just click "Add to Cart". You can continue shopping or "Checkout" at that time.

Checking Out

When clicking "Cart" you are taken to an information screen. You will be asked to provide a billing address for your credit card, a shipping address (if it is a gift or different than your billing address).

Sales Tax

We are required to collect sales tax on orders shipped to the following states: Alabama, Georgia.

Payment Options

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Sorry, no checks, money orders, or C.O.D. options at this time.

Credit Card Security

At WhitmanBooks.com, your security is important to us. As a result, ALL pages which contain your personal information are securely encrypted using the latest 128 bit security protocols.
On Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE), there are 3 ways to ensure your connection is secure including:
  • Right click on the page, select properties and view the connection info. It should mention SSL 3.0 (Secure Socket Layer).
  • The page address should start with "https:" not "http:"
  • A lock icon appears in the lower right corner of the page.
We have had reports from customers using IE that under certain conditions the lock icon may appear briefly when the page is first loading then quickly disappear. This is due to a confirmed issue with using IE (see Microsoft's own explanation at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;319831)
This is in NO WAY affects the security of the information you provide. Should you not see the security lock icon, use on of the other 2 methods to confirm our page is secure.

Check Your Order Status

You may check the order status by clicking on Order History in the Shopping Tools menu from the "Help" page (upper left-hand corner). You must be logged-in to view this information.

Backorders

Should your order be on backorder, the backordered item will not incur any shipping charges.

Cancelling An Order

Please contact customer service at 866-68-BOOKS or 866-682-6657 to cancel your order. Business hours are Monday-Friday 8-5 Central Standard Time.

Return Policy

Whitman Publishing offers the highest quality products and we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. We accept returns for merchandise purchased on our website www.whitmanbooks.com up to 30 days from the delivery date of your order. If you need to return or exchange an item, please follow the steps below:

  • Call 1-800-546-2995, for a Return Authorization number. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A CREDIT FOR THE PRODUCT RETURNED UNLESS YOU HAVE A RA#. The RA# must be written on the outside of all boxes returned.
  • Keep a list of the products you are sending back.
  • Write the reason for the return and a daytime phone number on the packing slip from your order. Ship to:

  • Returns should be shipped by a traceable method (such as UPS or some other traceable method). If your return is not shipped by a traceable method and gets lost we will be unable to issue a credit.

The credit will be processed after we receive your return. Please allow 4 weeks for the return to show on the account.

Sorry we cannot accept C.O.D. freight or refund the original or return shipping costs.
